Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)

HIPAA is a federal regulation, which seeks to protect the health information of individuals and give individuals certain rights regarding their health information while also seeking to meet the needs of health care industry in the processing of health-care claims, and certain other transactions, more efficiently.

This notice will tell you about the ways in which CFSA may use and disclose health information about you or your child (if you are your child's legal guardian). It also describes your rights and certain duties CFSA has regarding the use and disclosure of health information.
