DC KIDS Comprehensive Health Care Program

The District of Columbia Kid Integrated Delivery System (DC KIDS) is a comprehensive health care program that delivers medical, behavioral/mental health, dental, vision and developmental services for children in foster care and/or receiving adoption subsidies. Program benefits include easy access, timely appointments, care sensitive providers, adoptive parent participation and care coordination.

On May 1, pre-placement and replacement medical screenings of foster children under DCKIDS will move from Children’s National Medical Center (CNMC) to THEARC located at 1901 Mississippi Avenue, SE.  Business hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30 am to 7:30 pm. During non-business hours, weekends and holidays children will continue to have screenings and other medical services at Children’s National Medical Center. The Children's National Medical Center is the provider of these services under the DC KIDS Comprehensive Health Care Program.

Access to DC KIDS is available through your social worker, by calling the CFSA Health Services Unit at (202) 727-7800 or DC KIDS at (877) WDC-KIDS (932-5437).
