Tanya Torres Trice, LICSW, is Director of the DC Child and Family Services Agency (CFSA) with more than 25 years of experience serving children, families, and communities. Grounded in lived experience and a deep commitment to public service, she leads with clarity, compassion, and a strong focus on strengthening supports for DC’s most vulnerable residents. 

She has held several leadership positions throughout her tenure at CFSA, shaping agency practice and strategy across multiple divisions. As Director, she has advanced trauma‑informed practice, elevated the lived experience voice with a focus on prevention, modernized agency operations, and championed technology‑driven efficiency. She is committed to investing in the teams she leads, believing that strong, supported professionals are the foundation of better outcomes for children and families.
