CFSA Staff: CISA Training is your one-stop resource for all your STAAND training needs. We also offer One Drive for Business and Skype for Business training classes. When you visit here, you will find the latest available comprehensive training opportunities for CFSA and private agency staff to maintain effective documentation of clinical information in the District’s Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System (CCWIS).

To get started:

  1. Review course descriptions to get details for each course.
  2. Review STAAND training calendar to find what’s available pertaining to other exciting features like access to your training transcript.
  3. Select appropriate training with approval from your supervisor.
  4. To enroll, go to the new Training Portal @ cfsatraining.dc.gov or contact the HelpDesk at (202) 434-0009 for assistance.

Training classes are located at CFSA 200 I St., SE unless otherwise specified.

 

CISA Training Descriptions

 

Hotline and Investigations
This two-day course designed for both Hotline and Investigation Workers. Students will learn how to document information related to intake and investigations on the Hotline Screen, Client related screens, Allegations, Collaterals, Contacts, Risk Assessment, Danger and Safety Assessment, Placement Matching, Red Team, Assessment Findings, Complaint Form, Case Connect, and Investigation Closure to name a few.
 

STAAND R2 Training Course Descriptions  

Clinical Case Management 
The course covers key activities including updating and searching Person records, creating case plans, assessments, court reports, separation records, contact notes and requesting placements.  

Eligibility  
The course covers key activities including reviewing clients’ legal status and separation records, creating eligibility records including Foster Care, Guardianship, and Adoption.   

Finance (Contracts & Fiscal) 
The course covers key activities including learning how to create invoices, account reconciliations, and payment processing for contracting and non-contracting providers.  

Intake and Investigations  
The course covers key activities including completing hotline reports, documenting allegations and findings, creating contact notes, tracking and completing initiation efforts, creating support plans, and separation records.  

FTM Kinship (Private Agency Staff)  
The course covers key activities including reviewing placement requests, assigning kinship licensing workers and or kinship resource development specialist, and enter kinship provider. 

Kinship/FTM (Staff, Supervisors and Managers)  
The course will cover key activities including Case record review, entering Contact Notes and Quick Notes, and entering Family Roadmap details within the Investigation and Case records.  

Management Reports  
The objective of this course is to provide workers with the skills needed to efficiently navigate and utilize the STAAND system in their day-to-day roles. The course is tailored for CFSA and Private Agency Supervisors and Data Specialist. Students will become proficient with accessing, analyzing and interpreting data reports and dashboards.  

Placement & ICPC  
The course covers key activities including reviewing placement requests, documenting placement efforts, and much more.  

Placement Provider Licensing and Relicensing Provider Shell  
The Provider Shell is used by licensing teams to create/update provider profiles, enter household  

Services (OWB, OYE)  
This training course provides instructions to SW, FSW and SSW on how to submit and manage certain OYE and OWB service referrals via STAAND.  


CFSA Community Portal (Collaborative Services)
This two-hour course is designed for Collaborative staff members. Students will briefly recap the Federal Family First Prevention Services Act of 2018; guide end-users through accessing referrals and Prevention Plans submitted by CFSA and Private Agency Social Workers; how to acknowledge receipt of referral, make staff assignments to clients/families, and acknowledge services rendered through the CFSA Portal application system.
