CFSA encourages all eligible children to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. District law permits children ages 11 through 17 years old to provide informed consent for vaccinations. This administrative issuance outlines the process for seeking such consent for children eligible to receive the vaccine.

Vaccinations are not considered “routine medical care” and require birth parent consent for children in foster care under age 11. The Trusted Party Consent form below can be used to obtain birth parent consent.
