The Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children (ICPC) is a uniform law that was enacted by all fifty states and the District of Columbia to coordinate the movement of a child across state lines for the purpose of placement in foster care, adoptive homes, or residential treatment facilities. The ICPC includes referrals on parents, relatives, foster parents, adoptive parents, and residential treatment facilities.
